In 2024, Ryan also presented a series of performances at the Chan Centre.

Ryan’s musical achievements have been recognized through numerous competitions and festivals. He is a recipient of the Gala Scholarship at the Pacific International Youth Music Festival and has represented both the Kiwanis Music Festival and the Coquitlam District Music Festival at the provincial level. Recent honors include First Place (Age 14 Romantic) at the Coquitlam District Music Festival, First Place (Duo Ensemble) at the Canadian Music Festival, and an Honourable Mention (Senior Piano) at the 2025 Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival.

An active and engaged musician, Ryan is committed to community outreach and musical leadership. He performs regularly at charitable and community events, co-organized a benefit concert supporting refugee musicians, and currently serves on the Performing Arts Council as well as a Student Ambassador for Vancouver Piano Sessions.

In addition to solo performance, Ryan is an active and dedicated collaborative musician with a strong interest in chamber music, developed through his participation in the Blue Ridge International Chamber Music Festival. He has extensive experience as a collaborative pianist and ensemble musician, performing with his school concert band and collaborating regularly with the school choir.

Ryan began piano studies at age five with Susan Evans and has studied with Dr. Wayne Weng since 2021. He has participated in masterclasses with John Perry, Wei-Yi Yang, Arthur Greene, Sasha Starcevich, David Fung, and Enrico Elisi. He holds the Associate Diploma (ARCT) in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music and has completed ARCT-level studies in keyboard harmony, analysis, and history.

Ryan also studies guitar and French horn, which further informs his musical sensitivity, ensemble awareness, and versatility as a musician. He is currently an International Baccalaureate (IB) student, maintaining a strong academic record alongside intensive musical training. Through continued study, performance, and collaboration, he seeks to further refine his artistry and pursue advanced training in piano performance, sharing music with depth, integrity, and purpose.
